American Properties Team, Inc. was formed in 1977 to develop, manage and syndicate multi-unit residential and commercial properties.  It is a closely held company, the majority of ownership interest being held by the company's owner and founder, John M. Curry, CPM.  Mr. Curry is a licensed builder and Certified Property Manager.  In the late 70's and early 80's the company was responsible for the construction of 17 residential communities and a medical office building.

In 1983, APT Financial, Inc. was incorporated as a parent company, so the development and syndication functions could be separated and remain under American Properties Team, Inc. as a subsidiary.  This allowed American Properties team, Inc. to focus solely on property management and asset preservation.   In 2010 the parent company name was changed to Apt Management Group, Inc.

Mr. Curry is the CEO and primary stockholder in the Corporation.
